Lessons on the hand you were dealt.
You used to think that life gave you the short end of the stick. Or that other people got the answers, guidance, luck and you were left to figure it all out on your own. You carried a chip on your shoulder, you felt entitles or like you were owed something for how unfair life felt.
But holding onto anger about what you didn’t get keeps your hands too full to receive what’s waiting for you. You can’t build the life you want while defending yourself from the one you have.
I used to think I needed an explanation before I could move forward of a reason for why it all had to feel so hard. But the moment you stop waiting for an apology that may never come is the moment you can start to notice the quiet ways life has been trying to love you all along. You weren’t dealt a bad hand. Pick your cards back up, the game was never against you.
